US came in to help South Vietnam fight against North Vietnam (Vietnam 1).
The capture of Saigon marked the end of the Vietnam War (Fall 1).
This relates to us today, the war in Iraq is similar to the Vietnam war because The United States invaded South Vietnam and imposed their government on them and then left them to fend for themselves
After leaving them alone, South Vietnam lost their capital (Saigon), making them lose the war (Vietnam 1)
This photograph helps us relate to how the South Vietnamese felt about the Americans taking over their government and lifestyle by them acting as a puppet master and his puppet. This is showing how they feel helpless and as if they are being totally controlled
We found it hard to look at this picture knowing that this was at one point a reality for these children.
This photo shows the ruthlessness that our soldiers had towards the Vietnamese, explaining thier strong dislike for us.
